Samsung Mobile Applications Store

Samsung has opened up its first ‘mobile app store’. The site features many of the applications that are compatible with Samsung phones all under one roof. It is definitely not as slick as the Apple App store, but its nice to see companies making it easier for consumers to find neat apps and easier for developers to distribute their software. It also looks like there are a lot more high value apps topping the best seller list in the Samsung Mobile Application website then you will find on Apple’s best seller list.
Some haveĀ  criticized, even attacked the idea of ‘app stores’ created by manufactures like Samsung who do not fully control their platform. Some say these manufactures are “further segmenting an already messy market“, yes they are, its called capitalism. If Samsung’s new site is not useful to a significant number of users it will go, if people think its worthwhile it will stay. Last we heard choice benefits consumers.
