LG Cookie Phone Looks Nothing Like A Cookie

The LG Cookie has found a home in Europe with wireless carrier Orange, the phone features little other then one of LG’s puzzling names. Cookie may not be the best name for a phone but its definitely an improvement, until LG’s marketing gurus dreamed it up the handset was being marketed as the KP501. LG has a long history of adding odd names to otherwise unremarkable phones, there was the LG Ski, the Bikini, and the LG Ice Cream.

Usually the distracting name is added to models that do not have much to offer otherwise. For example the LG Cookie features a 3″ touch screen, 3.15 megapixel camera, external MicroSD slot, and a FM radio. For connectivity the phone features EDGE and Bluetooth. The main downside to the phone is the weak 3.5 hours of talk time the battery can handle.

If you like the Cookie, Orange has it on sale in the UK on a pay as you go contract or for E99 ($142 USD). The LG Cookie is available in black, pink, silver and orange.
