The Samsung SNC-570 high resolution 410,000 pixels is the latest in security camera technology. The camera is hooked into a security network that provides real time video and intelligent video analysis. The software can track objects on screen using a function dubbed “Appear/Disappear”. The software tracks objects and can determine when something has disappear, for example if a suitcase is left behind in an airport it can either start recording or alert security personal.
It all sounds really great, but considering the number of bags temporarily left alone in an airport everyday it seems that this system would trigger too many false alarms. It is definitely a useful and would be a big help to security personal, we just hope they have a human making some judgment calls before the robotic bomb squad is sent in.
