Korea’s first computer manufacture TG Sambo has released some details about an upcoming netbook that will be flying the Averatec flag. The new netbook the Averatec Buddy is based on the Intel Atom processor (N27 1.5Ghz), rocks a 10.2″ LCD screen, and runs Windows XP. 1Gb of RAM and 160 GB ROM take care of the storage. Internet access ins enabled via built in WLAN and there is also a 1.3 megapixel webcam.
The Avertec Buddy will be available in three different models with the price somewhere around 630,000W ($479.99USD) which is what the same model is selling for in the United States right now. It seems like TG Sambo’s netbook efforts are too little too late for the digitally spoiled Korean market.
