Samsung Electronics has announced three new projectors that will be hitting the Korean market soon. Despite the current trend of miniaturizing projectors these projectors are huge, relative Sasquatches compared to recent projectors.
Samsung SP-A900 Projector
The large size comes High Definition, the SP-A900 provides high resolution video with a 12,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,000 lumens of brightness, and under the hood Texas Instruments DarkChip4 chipset.
Samsung SP-D400 Projector
For those lookg for a less expensive option Samsung’s SP-D400 has a similar set up to the SP-A900 with ‘only’ a 3,000:1 contrast ration and 4000 lumens brightness.
Samsung SP-L300 Projector
The SP-L300 is a 3 LCD data projector with 3,000 lumens brightness. The contrast ration has not been released but it has an HDMI port so its likely to be HD as well. The SP-L300 also has built in speakers.
If you spend most of your time outside of a boardroom its sometimes easy to forget that people still use projectors. Even though these may be headed for business boardrooms Samsung should still consider giving them a more user friendly name, all these alphabet soup names can become confusing.
