AT&T is getting ready to launch the Xenon a slick new QWERTY phone, built by LG Electronics. Lately, a few snapshots and specifications of the phone have been uncovered by the BoyGenius who’s sources say the phone is undergoing testing in AT&T’s labs, and could be out in time for Christmas. Apart from having the full QWERT keyboard, the phone has a big 2.8″ 240×80 pixel display, and 3 MP camera with VGA video recording. Its 100 MB internal memory is a little weak but can be expanded up to 16GB with a microSD or microSDHC card. Connectivity wise, the Xenon sports Blutooth and USB 2.0, along with Wi-Fi and GPS.
There is no info on exactly what OS the device will be running and so far no speculation that it could be Android. These specs are not the official ones, so for now its wait and see, but LG’s Xenon looks like a decent little mobile. Let’s hope that actual phone will meet the expectations set by these leaked images and details.
