Gamers and avid Hallyu Tech readers may remember Gamepark and their GP32 and GP2X open source video game consoles, particularly popular for game emulation. The Korean company has come up with a new open concept game console - the GP2X Wiz. The new Wiz hand held is faster, smaller and has better graphics then the GP2X. The device sports a 2.8″ OLED QVGA 320×240 pixel touchscreen, SD memory slot, 64MB RAM, 1GB of internal storage and a 533 MHz CPU – which is technically faster than the PSP’s 333 MHz processor.
The Gp2x Wiz has touchscreen with a built-in microphone that allows developers and gamers a more interactive level of gaming then with previous models. The GP2x Wiz includes 12 built-in games, including a shooter called ‘Myride’ and the much anticipated ‘Snake on Dope’. The GP2X Wiz will be available early October for $179.99.
