Raon Digital a local up and coming UMPC manufacturer has introduced the ‘Everun Note’ that claims to be the first dual-core Netbook. This little beauty, weighing 748g, with a 7″ 1,024 x 600 display, is packed with a 1.2GHz AMD Turion CPU, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 12GB SSD. Other features include a 1.3 megapixel built in webcam, and an electronic dictionary mode.
The Everun UMPC comes with a$879 price tag which is a bit of a bargain compared to other available high performance UMPCs. The notebook includes a 16mm pitch keyboard, easy 3G upgrade path, and comes with Windows XP Home. It may not be pretty, but if it delivers the performance promised Raon might just have a winner on its hands.
