Cowon Launches 16GB D2 Portable Media Player

05.09.08 | Comment?

The D2, Cowon’s premium mp3 player is now available with 16GB of internal memory. With this upgrade D2 has joined the league of high capacity media players. The 16 GB D2 comes with a price tag of $240, with no extra shipping charges, making it very attractive in comparison to other premium 16GB media players on the market. With an additional $70 expenditure on a 16GB SDHC memory chip, the D2 can be upgraded to give a massive storage capacity of 32GB, allowing music lovers to store tons of songs or videos. The product is being sold by Cowon’s official US reseller jetmall.net.

Cowon still looks to be a long way off from making a serious play at the US market, but the technology and features in their players are already top notch. If Cowon gets serious with its designs and throws in a little marketing magic they could become a major player over the next couple years.
