DViCO’s website is showing of their new TViX HD M-6500A Multimedia Player, or as the company likes to call it, “the most advanced jukebox on the planet”. Surprisingly that is the only English phrase that is confusing on their otherwise impeccably written (for a Korean company) website. Despite DViCO’s understatements their multimedia player is much more then a jukebox.
The TViX HD M-6500A is powered by a Sigma SMP8635 processor, compresses video and audio into H.264 (MKV) which is stored via SATA hard disk(up to 1TB), and connects via HDMI 1.3a. With an optional HD TV tuner you can also turn the multimedia player into a DVR.
The TViX HD M-6500A can handle most formats thrown at it, playing MPEG 1/2/3/4, WMA, PCM, DTS, WMV9 and WMV-HD, DIVX, XVid, HDV. DViCO has distributer around the world and will be retailing its multimedia player for W340,000 ($343 USD).
