Raon’s New Everun UMPC

06.01.07 | Comment?

Raon_Everun_UMPC  The Evern is the second attempt at UMPC’s by Seongnam City based company Raon. The companies first UMPC the Vega did not meet much success due to its inability to connect to any useful wireless source. To make up for the Vega’s lack on connectivity the company has spoiled their Everun UMPC with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and integrated WiBro or HSDPA.  Several different models of the Everun will be available with either a AMD LX900 or LX800 Geode processors. For storage the choices include a 30GB/60GB hard drive, or a 6GB SSD drive. Its tough to say what the battery life is with so many component combos but Raon promises you will be able to enjoy at least seven hours on one charge.

Raon is certainly offering up a lot of connectivity, and with so much choice the Everun is starting to look like a UMPC buffet, on top of all the the design is not too shabby. It’s nice to see a company learn from its mistakes.
