IZI Robotics sees robots becoming a crucial companion for todays ubiquitous lifestyle. Their new Netoy is their attempt to bring a personal assistant to your bed side table. The alarm clock is long over do for a replacement and Netoy may just be he device to do so. Besides telling the time Netoy can connect to the Megapass Network to retrieve weather information, news, or voice messages. Netoy can read you audio books, stream music, play MP3’s, and record voice messages. If your not convinced that you need a robot watching you in your sleep take note that Netoy will also dance, play music, and provide an LED light show when you pat it on the head.
The Netoy Robot [Video] has a 1.5″ color LCD with 128 X 128 resolution. There is a S3CX2410 CPU with 64Mb of RAM and 64MB flash memory. Netoy’s head holds an 8point touch center and 3 full color LEDs. Wireless LAN is used to connect to Netoy’s Megapass Network.
