LG Displays ‘Hand Held’ Projector

LG displayed a new hand held projector at this years KES. The projector also is available in brown, or as LG would say ‘Chocolate’. LG has released the projector in the same chocolate colour that adorns their cell phone of the same name. The Chocolate phone has sold over one million units to date and LG is eager to cash in on the success of the phones branding.
The projector was labeled an LED projector at the show, but is in fact a DLP projector, which is a fancy way of saying LED lights are directed onto tiny mirrors that make up the projectors pixels. From a range of 1 meter it can display a 40 inch picture. The projector sports analog a/v and HDMI. So far no price or dates have been released.
Although LG’s projector is very small and light weight it is not yet deserving of the ‘hand held’ title. After holding it for several seconds you quickly realise that you would not want to hold it in your hand longer then it took to set on a table.
